Okay so it has been a while since I have written on here but if you have my Instagram you see that I haven’t stopped writing altogether. I have been posting mostly to Instagram because I simply didn’t have the time to compose a well thought out, punctually accurate and intelligent sounding blog Lol. So I will give a brief update as to what exactly has been going on.
1st MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a video that I composed for my precious little lady.
The months leading up to her birth and the time following have been pretty hectic to say the least and once she was born I pretty much just stayed away from all social media for a while simply to enjoy her presence. All I have to say is God is so, so, so, so good
Other than this miraculous event, I have been writing a couple of books they are coming along well but will not be finished for quite some time. I will release them chapter by chapter online!
I also have a few scripts and recording equipment, I plan to make short Christian skits for wholesome entertainment (something that this world is seriously lacking right now).
Lastly I will be posting a majority of the things I posted to Instagram on here but in a more detailed well thought out post.
Thank you all for subscribing and following my journey through life I can’t wait to re-connect with you all.
I have some amazing guest posts coming up and this post knocked my socks off. My sister in law is a great writer and she wrote this on her Facebook page today. When I saw it I simply said to myself ” WHAT!! THIS IS AMAZING I’VE GOT TO RE-POST THIS.” haha so here we are. 🙂 enjoy!!!
“No one laughs at God when their airplane starts to uncontrollably shake, no one’s laughing at God when the last sight they’ll ever see is a pair of hateful eyes… No ones laughing at God when they’re saying their goodbyes.”
Over the last few weeks I’ve thought long and hard about this question, it has been heavy on my heart. Why is it that so many deem God unnecessary in the world today? Perhaps because we are comfortable with life’s distractions and see no need for a Savior. Life’s distractions don’t foster deeper thinking, instead, I believe we have become so consumed with stuff, so much so that we don’t even think about the incredible intricacy of life itself, of our very existence. Am I just a spontaneous collection of nothingness built from nothingness and bound for nothingness? Every intricate cell in my body from my head to my toes tells a different story– pointing to the ONE who is Higher than I. We have come to accept the magnificence of every day life– “how beautiful and rare it is, to even exist.” It seems we have replaced this beauty, this complex, unfathomable beauty for normalcy. Replacing God with meaningless distractions and not even stopping to ask ourselves, “what on Earth am I doing here?” Perhaps this world just doesn’t care to know anymore. It’s as if every thing else has been placed first, and somehow we call this process of moving away from God… progress. Looking at our society today, progress is apparently a downward curve. The world is aching, let us not have to experience even more heartache before we finally realize the trajectory of our lives will only end in tragedy without God. My heart breaks at the turmoil within this nation. I pray that we as a nation will pull the wool from our eyes and realize that there is only One who can save this broken world, and His name is Jesus Christ and he reigns today, tomorrow and forever.
“The universe is a mighty big place. Encompassing all of the millions of stars in untold millions of galaxies, the universe extends for trillions and trillions of miles. The heavens declare the glory of God and show how much bigger our God is who set these stars in place. We cannot fathom the vastness of space nor can we fathom the love of God who sent his Son to die and pay the penalty for our sins.”
“He told them: “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” (Luke 10:2).
Spreading the word is something that people often neglect. As I have stated before most of us are more worried about our well-being; Things like income, food, clothing and everything else that life necessitates. We become consumed with these things and put them before God. Often when I tell people my age, that I am married, with a child on the way, they say to me, “wow aren’t you a little young to be married with kids, and how are you going to provide?” The saddest thing is a lot of these people call themselves Christians. A lot of Christians today lack understanding of what it means to put your trust in God. Many ignore that still small voice inside of them that attempts to guide their footsteps. When God says to move and you move you will be blessed abundantly for it.
“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
People who do not believe in God rightfully worry about these things because they do not have a provider, therefore they must become providers for themselves. With Christ, these things are added unto us if we just follow Him and seek the kingdom. I spent all of last year and this year taking big risks and steps because God said to. I made bold statements with nothing to back myself up except for my trust in God and that He was leading me. Because of this I went from not having an income whatsoever, unmarried, and confused, to being able to support myself and a stay at home mom in the matter of months. In the midst of my confusion I questioned the steps God set before me, but my doubts did not dictate my actions. I said to God I don’t know how it will get done but I know it will get done.
Trusting in God can be a struggle but we are called to do so and when we do, God always proves himself reliable. If you love someone you trust them, so why not trust God? I work in the hospital and was in school studying to become an RN, but recently had a revelation. God revealed that His will for me is not to save lives here, but to save eternal lives for Him. God called me to the field and said “do not worry, things will get scary at times but trust me, it is only scary because you do not know what I know. If you knew what I knew you would walk through the fire with a smile on your face. Do not worry, for you are in my hands, and no one who is in my hands can be plucked away.”
So what do I do, do I trust God and enter the field of souls seeking to bring as many to heaven with me as possible? Or do I trust myself, and the views of the pagans that believe I need to waste years of my life in school in order to provide? You do not need a school, a six-figure salary, the lottery, or anything like that if you have God. The only time those things are needed is when God leads you in that direction. Jesus pulled His disciples straight from their jobs with no biblical education and for some, no real education at all and sent them out into the field to win souls for His kingdom. So don’t listen to people who tell you that you need a whole bunch of bible school, experience and whatever garbage they can come up with to steer you away from going out there and leading people to Christ RIGHT NOW. I believe it is great to have a solid biblical education, but it is not a necessity to be eligible to go out into the field and work for God.
Today when we travel to an area of the world that we have never been, we listen to a GPS. Why, Because it knows the area better than we do. Let God be your GPS through life because who better to know what you should do with your life than the giver of life?
Hundreds of thousands of people are concerned with their career path and what it will be. Only a fraction of those people are concerned about what God wants them to be, only a fraction of those people actually listen to God, and only a fraction of those people follow the path in full.
God needs more people spreading His word! He needs more people harvesting souls than an income for themselves. God will never lead you to a place that will lead to destruction. Trust Him and He will provide all that you need while you go out into the world and spread His word!
Sometimes I approach reading the word of God with haste because I’m anxious to learn. This is a good thing but it becomes a bad thing when done so hastily that I forget to pray. The reason why Atheists have a hard time understanding the principles of the bible is because they do not have the Holy Spirit of God guiding them, teaching them and helping them to understand. We as Christians do have this, but when we approach God’s word without first praying and asking for it, there will be times where we finish reading and feel like we’ve gotten nowhere. God is the one who equips you with understanding, so when you leave Him out of the process you inadvertently handicap yourself. It is an amazing thing to be anxious for God, but it is dangerous when your anxiousness supplements your patience.
We must speak to God and ask for Him to sanctify us by His truth which is His word, and help us to apply that word to ourselves. Then the outcome will be a lot more pleasant. It is kind of like the order of a day, if the sun fully rose before the rooster crows, what good would the rooster be, or if a flower grew from a seed without being planted first, what good would the soil be? Therefore we must talk to God first so that His word can have the impact it is supposed to have on us and so it can resonate with us. 🙂
I am a huge fan of Pastor Jim Cymbala, I have yet to hear a disappointing sermon from him and decided to share the most recent one that I have listened to. I feel as though it is so relevant to Christian blogger culture because it is so hard to spread the word but even harder to successfully spread the word. Every Christian blogger out there should keep in mind that it is all within our grasp if we rest our faith in God. If we can muster up the courage to put all of ourselves behind His will even though it seems impossible, God will make it happen. The most beautiful part is when people see that you have done the impossible they will have no choice but to conclude that God made it possible.
In this message, Pastor Cymbala looks at Moses’s life. Be encouraged. No matter what the negative obstacles or circumstances you face today, Jesus Christ is greater. God’s blessings will come. Exodus 1:22-2:4, 2:11-15, 5:19-21 (NIV)
