Truth or honey

There is nothing wrong with a sweet word! Support and a kind gesture can go a long way and are wonderful agents to be used to gain favor. But when sweetness takes the place of truth, it becomes toleration. Today, if we tell someone the truth we are considered haters, unrighteous hypocritical judgers, overly religious bible thumpers, or simply annoying or rude. Today, if I don’t support a certain group because I don’t agree with what they practice I’m a “bigot”. I often hear people say, “only God can judge me!” Do you even realize what you are saying? You are better off with me judging you and telling you what you are doing is wrong while you still have time to correct it, than having God judge you at the end of your life that was lived in sin. God’s judgement is final and if you choose to live your life foolishly, you will NOT like His ruling.

In Romans 6:15 Paul asks, “What then? shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? BY NO MEANS.” Just because God graciously paid the price for your sins, does not mean you should take advantage of that gift and sin all you want and exclaim, “oh but the grace of God.” Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. “…Faith without works is dead” (James 2:14). We are called to live righteous and be in the world, not of it. If you’re going to a church that makes you feel comfortable in your sin, then LEAVE!!! God is a living God. His word is a living word and if you stay at a church that feeds you honey all the time, even though they preach from a living bible, they are delivering you a sermon that leads to death! Hell is real people and trust me it ain’t sweet!
