30 day blog challenge day 24: How do I see myself in 10 years

I honestly have no idea where I will be in 10 years. God has a funny way of sticking me in certain places and situations and I’ll think my life is going to revolve around it and then He places me somewhere else.He is just so unpredictable with His direction for me that I’m just like what ever Lord. I’m not even gonna bother planning because your just gonna change it anyway.

However my goal is to become an evangelist, blog/comic book/novel author and maybe a vlogger too. I made a video on instagram the other day, which you can check out it is in the sidebar ๐Ÿ™‚ If you have an account give me a follow. Lol but the video was well received and I think I will do more of those in the future (only about God of course).

If anywhere, I see myself having all of these things set in motion in the next ten years. My hopes are to make it my main source of income. I seek to spend my life spreading the Gospel and spending time with my wife and children.

Ultimately God’s will be done!

proverbs 19:21ย  Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the Lord’s decree will prevail.

proverbs 16:9ย A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD determines his steps.

Do you have any goals at all? If so what are they? Leave a comment below telling me about your dreams and aspirations hahaha.

Keep frogging it fam (Fully Rely On God)!!!

  1. Awesome post Julian !! Courtney showed me your Vlog it was awesome ~I LOVED it !! It was also transparent that God is definitely calling you to continue to evangelize, preach, and the list goes on !!
Actually you inspired Courtney she said she is going to do a Vlog today … guess her
“big brother” inspired her !!! So cool !!! love it !!!
I agree God continues to put me in places and put people in my path as I continue to walk through this world ~ He is amazing …
My pastor has a saying which I really like ~ “I’m just a nobody, trying to tell everybody about a somebody who can change anybody” : ) Obviously that somebody is Jesus !!!
I guess that truly is our mission statement huh? !! Keep filling the nets !!!
God bless you always my brother in Christ !

    1. lol woah you have no idea how happy I am to have influenced Courtney that is truly amazing! I smiled so big with an outburst of laughter because truly that means everything to inspire someone to do more with God! hahaha she didn’t even tell me.
God truly is like throwing me from place to place, I was in nursing school thinking this field would be my career and the next thing you know I’m lifted up from the ground being tossed into the battle field. I have an idea of why, but I’ll save that for a blog post hahahaha
I love that quote from your pastor. humility is a wonderful trait to have and that is extremely humble of him to say and I would love to hear a sermon of his sometime lol.

  2. Cool vlog, Julian! Ten years from now? I’m 60 now so If I’m not with the Lord I’ll definitely be retired from my 8-4:30 job. If I’m still down here I hope I’ll be walking closer to the Lord.

    1. Sheesh I cant wait for you to be able to retire either. it truly is sad that the age of retirement in order to receive certain benefits and social security has been raised to high. people shouldn’t be forced to work that long especially when it is back breaking work. I pray for you brother and hope that you can retire soon. also haha I’m sure if you are here you will be doing something great to bring glory to the kingdom. If you are with the Lord I can’t wait to meet you there. but 70 isn’t very old haha so I’m sure we both will be around spreading the word and offering the world salvation through Christ

      1. Thanks, Julian. Yup they keep pushing benefits back farther and farther. Good thing our hope is in the Lord, not health and wealth. Every day is a day in the Lord when you know Him, whether you’re 25 or 60.

  3. I’ve said this before, but those are some great goals! You may be the first ever evangelist/blogger/comic book writer/novel author/vlogger, lol!

And goodness, the future…that’s something that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately! I feel like I’m getting so OLD! I know I’m pretty much the youngest one in my blogger family but still…I can’t believe I’m already an adult! I still feel like a child!

In ten years, I hope to have a couple of successful books published, have a couple of songs written for contemporary Christian singers, work in journalism (Maybe for Christianity Today or Relevant), and maybe do some volunteer work with a youth group. I’d also love to get an apartment or a house with a group of friends at some pointโ€”I’ve seen people do that on TV and in books and it looks like a lot of fun!

Other than that, I’m pretty much just leaving the future up to God, because it’s WAY too much for me to handle right now! ๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Hahahaha so many goals so little time. lol trust me your never too young to feel the weight of responsibility it is a constant burden of life once you ease out of adolescence year by year. Thinking about the future makes it even worse. which is why our heavenly father tells us to take it day by day and focus on Him not the worries of the future. it is fine to make a plan but don’t be disappointed if you wind up going in a different direction because God constantly shifts and changes things in order to bring about His will hahaha trust me I know! But what ever you do Courtney will be great because you surely do work harder than a beaver and have the almighty God leading you!!!

      1. Yeah, that’s what my mom has been telling me-to take things one day at a time!
Thanks for the encouragement JuJu, it’s great having a big bro who has been through the insanity of adulting!๐Ÿ˜‚
